I, for one, welcome our oppressive computer overlords.

I like how she's "fixing dinner" while holding a flower in one hand... driving home that message about how easy it is to prepare a meal in the future. Oftentimes, you'll find me holding a petunia or daisy while microwaving a Lean Cuisine... because I can!

now that, Duncan, is a man who is in touch with his feminine side.

I try not to touch it too often, that would be unladylike.

wow! and she can spend (almost) the whole of the rest of her day cutting and smelling her flowers!!

It's incredible!

LOL. and I like the term 'luncheon allotment'. Over here an allotment is a vegetable plot. I have visions of a sunbeat Mississippi farmer hurling veg into the back of the computer out back. Or perhaps yelling at his Californian farmhands to do it. ; D

Hahah! If I looked at what my luncheon allotment was, I think I'd cry. I'm sure I exceed it every day.

That sure is a big fucking house if it takes that kid more than a minute at full gallop (with occasional stopping to adjust an ashtray or other item) to make it all the way to the kitchen. Also, if I was the wife (shut it), I'd probably spit in that good for nothing husband's lunch. What is wrong with his legs and arms that he can't make lunch for the family? After all, she is only a part-time homemaker.

Maybe she's so secure with her self-empowerment that she allows him to beat his chest around the house?

As for the kid, I want to know if he does the count-down for every meal. Because that would concern me as a parent.

Perhaps implying he's obsessive-compulsive? Wouldn't they have developed a pill form cure-all for OCD by then?

It's a fine balance between the OCD pills and the ADD pills...

Xiongren, where did you find this? caestus January 3 2008, 20:17:42 UTC
Obviously youtube, but what were you looking for that you stumbled across this?

Over and above the patriarchal issues what struck me most: "dethaw" is not a word. Perhaps it was in that alternate 1999. I'm fairly certain that dethaw would mean freeze.

I wish I could answer you but honestly, I have no idea... I added these videos to my favorites a few months ago and don't recall what led me to them.

As for "dethaw", I think you're right... it WOULD mean to freeze (or re-freeze).

How freaking big is that house that the kid can run through all the rooms while counting backwards from 120? I call no way.

Also when he said "ice cold beer", it wouldn't have surprised me if he tacked on "bitch" after it.

Don't forget that the kid stops to wash his hands and face. I love how he uses the "Galactic Blower" to dry himself.
