Cuz I Gotta Have Covers
Of all of the wonderful ways that You Tube has sucked off bits of my life, I've found myself particularly mesmerized with the various covers that people upload of their favorite songs. I picked one of my favorite pop songs from the 80s and here's what I found.
(The guitar overpowers his voice, but I like his energy and his 80s college boy look)
(Perhaps my favorite version, and it's refreshing to hear it performed by a gal)
(This one is interesting...he gets snaps for originality, or something. His voice reminds me of Barry Gibb and David Bowie)
(This band has a strutting tempo that reminds me of "Jive Talkin'" by the Bee Gees)
(I love this guy's voice, I wish the entire performance had been captured)
(tongue in cheek performance from the other woman's perspective)
(Technically not a cover, but 20 years after he released it, he still sounds good)
