There's smokes in town, mon ami. If you can dodge everyone tryin' to tell you to quit, that is.

I think, Sugar, I can manage that. Leastways, I done so for the last ten years.

But bless you for bringing such good tidings. Even if it means I should get up and start walking.

One small blessin' in this place, that's for sure. Walkin' aside, o'course.

Name's Gambit, by the way. [Somehow "sugar" seems to be becoming a more common nickname now and he's not sure how he feels about that.]

Ain't nothing too wrong with walking, Sugar. Done my share and then some in the past ten years. [If it helps, next to everyone is "Sugar" as far as Jason is concerned?]

They do have matches, too? Lighters. Something small and portable?

[It's cool, it's like talking to some of the people back in New Orleans. Gambit can deal.]

Matches an' lighters both. They got a decent selection at the Item Shop.

Jus' don' tell the girl who works there, she's gone off on me 'bout smokin' before. [Although he doubts Rogue would butt in with a stranger, but still. Joking is fun.]

[Voice] Pardon me while I enjoy a moment of spastic glee over RPing with a Gambit... dun_measure_up November 16 2011, 07:34:37 UTC
Item shop. Right. That'll be my first stop, I imagine. Everything really is free ain't it? Apart, I do mean, from the obligatory investment in anti-tobacco campaigning.

Really is free, homme. [Which kills a lot of the joy in swiping things.] All of it.

Not sure 'bout there bein' any rabbit in the grocery store, though.

[Because the amount of people upset over the rabbit hunting clearly needs to be increased.]

Well. Makes it kind of pointless to go on about thinking of starting a poker ring, don't it?

Mmm. Good thing I know where to find me some good, wild coney, then, ain't it? [The reaction so far has pretty much ensured he'll go back out for more eventually; as publicly as possible, probably.] What do they have, then?

Does kinda kill the joy in gamblin', don't it? [He has kicked around the idea of poker a few times here. The absolute lack of anything to bet aside from maybe potato chips is a bit deterring.

Still, he gives a soft laugh on behalf of the rabbits.] As for the store, it's got a bit'a everythin'... but not much for Southern cookin'. Had to fend for myself on that so far.

[You can almost hear ears perk at that, my friend.]

Oh, Sugar, don't say you can cook like they do back home.

Depends on what you're lookin' for. Most'a what I can cook is straight outta N'awlins.

Well, I'll admit I come from a bit East of the Big Easy, Sugar, but cook me over a fire if I ever say I wouldn't take the latter over the former any day of the week.
