CREATIVE WRITING ASSIGNMENT #1 May 24
Hey everyone, I figure most of my friends are writers or at least enjoy writing in their spare time when there's nothing else to do. I also know that most of my writer friends don't write often enough. And so, for lack of anything else to do, I've decided to institute a weekly Creative Writing Assignment in my journal available every monday. No need to turn in your work, though you may if you like. No need to worry about criticism because you don't have to share with the class or anyone else. Since it's all up to you who sees it, make it as personal or impersonal as you like. This is simply to keep you writing and developing your talents. Plus, when someone says, "oh, you're a writer? What have you written recently?" you'll have something. And so, without further ado...

Inspiration can come from anywhere and material for good writing can be found where you least expect it. Anything can be made into good writing if you just find the write way to look at it. So this week, I want you all to turn on the TV and take the first three words you hear and make them the title of a song or poem. It can be about anything so long as you can incorporate your three word title into the piece. Have fun.
