Last post was in April last year, which comes to 1 1/2 years. Having just made a riff through the LJ directory in my bookmarks and finding 3 out of 4 LJers to be similarly slow to post here (and several wondering why they continued to have a LJ account), I find myself in some doubt as to whether I should start posting again. In an election year that fills me with revulsion, I have no interest in posting or reading political stuff here or anyplace else; severe economic problems has caused me to severely curtail my activities to the extent that I missed going to MFM this year for the first time and even driving across town is a grave matter. The recent visit of the Shuttle Endeavor and the half-dozen photos I managed to take before the camera jammed* might be of interest, but the decaying state of my health** that caused me to fall down _twice_ while walking to and back from seeing it ... is probably of less interest to any stray visitor.
Ah, well... Later.
*A 1960s East German Praktika, actually pretty good; the lady at Walgreen's said it was the film canister that jammed. Nice pictures of the shuttle and an out of focus shot of me taken by another visitor who had no idea how to use a film camera.
**I have been taking an anticholesterol drug called Pravastatin since early last year, and am becoming increasingly alarmed at the recent news that Statins have some rather exciting side-effects I had been hitherto unaware of, including muscle damage and waking up one fine morning paralyzed from the neck down. I can do without this, thank you.
