don't get me wrong - september eleventh was a horrible event.
i remember when it happened (and for weeks after) it was inescapable. everyone was talking about it, thinking about it, dreaming about it. the same images were seen on the on the front pages of newspapers everywhere. it was impossible to channel search without seeing footage; the same thirty second event seen from every angle imaginable.
don't get me wrong - i think it was very important to be reminded about that horrible morning, as
3,030 innocent people were killed in a most unjustifiable way. it was, and still is, impossible for me to fathom the affect it had on so many families across the country...
but
someone tell me why this huge disaster, which so far totals
almost fifty times as many deaths, is not getting just as much (if not fifty times as much) publicity?
i know it wasn't on our country's soil, but the people that have died, are dying, and will die from this tsunami are our fellow human beings!
