Just don't know...ashleynicolesJune 22 2006, 22:27:03 UTC
I'm not sure how it's going to feel to not have my Jenny within driving distance.
Throughout life you find these special friends that you find yourself thinking about even when you're far apart...Jenny is one of those friends. I can be in a store and see something reminds me of her and it just makes me smile and reminds me of how many years we've spent in one another's lives.
Time is an extraordinary thing for people our age. This is an age where you realize that time is what you make of it and that it isn't unlimited. It's a time where you put more thought into how you spend your time because we all have less and less of it these days. When I think about all of the time I spent with Jenny by my side it seems natural that I will have a difficult time leaving her...
So Jen, It was a very difficult decision to pick up and move my life especially because I will be 'losing' some very important things and people in it. Physical distance is a very difficult barrier but I know that our friendship will endure our time apart...it always has before...
So even though I won't know what you ate for breakfast everyday or have your class schedule memorized...I will still think of you. I DO still think of you...everyday...
There is a piece of me that comes alive just for you...it's part of our special bond...you can feel it when we're together...feel it when we're apart but want to be together...and even see it in pictures.
Stay strong Jen. Your life will take you on many journies and many opportunities will present themselves. I know that you're feeling a little lost right now but that is all a part of change. Trust me, although I may seem strong there are definite moments of fear and anxiety with the thought of the change that I am about to go through.
It's okay not to know...it's okay not to be ready for some things and completely ready for others...and most importantly...it's okay for us to miss each other in a way that nobody else can feel or understand.
