Once Gwennie stepped off, she gave her friend a hug, whispering, "Good job," and walked up the rest of the way to where she usually watched the Headmaster stand.
"Hey everyone," Reina began with a smile. In her mind, while the others had been speaking, she had already thought of some nice qualities about herself, that she could make apparent to everyone. "I'm Reina Benvinuto, for those of you who don't know me, and I've been nominated to be your Princess. I'm in the Ravenclaw house, but I really like to think more about school unity, above house unity."
She took a deep breath, wondering if that had sounded dumb. "I have to say, this is pretty difficult for me, considering I'm running against 3 of my very best friends, Cho Chang, Charlotte Richmond, and Gwenn Pruette. But I'd like them to know, no hard feelings. The position of princess is an honor, and I think only the friendliest, most respectable student deserves it. If this is not me, so be it." She flashed a smile, finding a few familiar faces, which calmed her down a great deal. "Anyway, I really hate making speeches, who doesn't? I hope you all have a great time at the ball- that's what it's about really, right? Make the best of the end of the year! See you all around." In her mind, she said Reina, out, but she went with a simple wave, little giggle and grin.
