poem: happiness

Oct 23, 2005 22:18

Nose deep in a book.
Seconds from falling asleep.
Giving up hope.
Until I see you.

Smile creeps onto my face.
My heart skips a beat.
Suddenly filled with new hope.
Knowing I'll finish the day.

When I believed I was invisable.
You disproved my theories.
All you did was smile and say a few words.
But that was all I needed to know that I was alive.

You'll never know how much you mean to me.
And in a way that's safer.
For now you won't have a chance to hurt me.
All you can do is smile and make my day.
