Right this is the problem....I am currently in charge of organising contemporary regularly updated CD compliations to be played before and after Awesome services. This means I am downloading a lot of current tracks because I can't afford to buy every new album or single that we might want to use.
I've started off by using Napster and get on well with this, however the problem arises in that I need these tracks in mp3 format and Napster only give them to me in wma format. currently I am having to buy the tracks, burn them to a CD and then ripping them back on my computer to convert to mp3 which means I'm ending up with two or three copies of the same track. Which sooner or later is going to kill my harddrive and memory.
So I need two things...
1. a site that gives me songs in mp3 format when I download them (and i'm quite happy to pay for the tracks, I'm not especially looking for free sites) the site also needs to be able to be very up to date because often I want tracks that aren't yet on CD single release. And I can't use iTunes because that does weird crap to my laptop :S Oh and I have to be able to burn the tracks on to CD as many times as necessary and email them too. But essentially I NEED the songs in mp3 format not wma. If anyone can recommend anything so I can have the tracks in mp3 format without loads of hassle I will love you.
2. I need someone who can sit and talk me through clearing up my music on my laptop so that I don't have three different copies of the same song located all over my computer, which is currently the case. Or just someone who can do it for me and help me to make PROPER back ups of all my stuff because I haven't done a back up in ages and I don't really know how to do it.
So yea...if you know anyone who might be able to help me..or indeed if you can help me then let me know :) Thanks!
