I saw Ben Affleck's adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel yesterday evening. A pretty good movie with a tight, suspensful plot, serious acting, fabulous Boston neighborhoods.
But of course, I was more than happy to see the Patrick Kenzie and the Angie Gennaro I had imagined take shapes and voices. Lehane is one of my favorite writers, his books are as dark as the blackest of souls and I was not disappointed. The entire 5 book series is awesome starting from the first one.
