Um...oops?
Not doing so well with the keeping up on LJ thing. *sigh* Oh well, could be worse I suppose. Actually been a pretty good few weeks; work is mostly fun, I have two FANTASTIC groups of students this quarter (well, one fantastic group and one pretty cool group ;) and the crack that is polymer clay continues to be fun. My only real complaint is that I don’t have enough time to play with clay and kittens, but in the grand scheme of things, that’s really pretty piddly.
Am going to go spend a week at my Mom’s in 13 days (YAY!!!), they moved to South Dakota in January and I’m really looking forward to seeing their new house. Of course, hanging out with the parents is always fun and now they are closer to family, so I’ll get to see cousins and the like. Pretty dang cool.
This summer should be pretty busy; looks like I’m going to go to a SANS 6 day training. That’s going to do ugly things to my brain, but it should be a lot of fun. I think this is the first time SANS has been to Albuquerque, and given the costs of traveling lately, it’d be a lot easier to just have it here. (“The SANS [SysAdmin, Audit, Network, Security] Institute was established in 1989 as a cooperative research and education organization” sort of the official certifying body of IT geeks.)
There is plenty more to talk about; overly cute kittens, favorite residents dying, possibly starting a small business, but there is also a bunch of cleaning to do. ::sigh:: I've been about as good at cleaning lately as I have been keeping up on LJ. Not a pretty sight, let me assure you.
