whether through a lack of promotion, the unending stream of techincal difficulties, general indifference of the public at large, or all of that, i experienced an unusually intimate and surreal miracle in the miami ghetto on thursday night -- and you shd be jealous: i met and shook hands with some of the original hip hop dj's from the boogie down 70's and rockit 80's; dj jazzy jay (signed my ticket also) of the original zulu nation under afrika bambaataa, the incredible grand wizard theodore who signed my mapquest printout (it looked like my ticket) then subsequently with his set erased any doubt that he is, literally, the inventor of the technique known as scratching and the legendary grandmixer dxt (ds.t) who brought hip hop to a world audience on the '83 grammys with herbie (rockit) future shock hancock phshhhhhhhh -- and if that's not enough stood 10 ft. from the greatest dj in the world dj qbert who stunned us alone and jammed with another one of the world's greatest living dj's dj z-trip / fuck wow
