pie = disaster
I'm good at baking cakes. pies suck. a lot
spent $60 ish on ingredients for like 5 or 6 key lime pies (the big cooking projects all cost this much, which is why I don't do them often.
well the first batch had 2X as much lime juice as it should have. (2 pies)
my second had the same problem because I was so flipped out about the first I wasn't paying attention. so I added more condensed milk and egg to make it a triple instead of a double.. but there were ants in the dried milk pack (3 pies)
my final batch I was in such a rush that I forgot to put in just the yolks. (3 pies)
okay so that was 8 pies........
the last batch is okay, but not firm...... am re-baking now in hopes of good pie......
