wow. so i haven't updated in a really really long time. apparently lj has decided to make entries in typewriter type now.
so.
life is good.
school started again...extremely annoying on the first day b/c they gave me way too much freakin homework but today was better. less homework. more monsieur bruno [hah! i love his name] a.k.a. hot french teacher from france who will make us actually speaking french fluently and get us college credit. i am so excited. i have the urge to smile a lot in that class.

thespcon is friday/saturday. i'm in lilla's skit! i get to be the dog, perdy. it's a pretty amazing role, let me tell you. yes! chris can fit in the dress. yay!!! dude i really really hope he wears it all day. that would be freaking amaZing. with a capital Z, o yes.
and we have thespian sweatshirts! yay, the next step to becoming more of a scary cult. except we're actually friendly.

Tom Adkins is a complete dufus, for anyone who was wondering. he cannot make an argument. in our english book on the argumentation chapter there are two different essays talking about gay's right to adopt children:one pro, one con. and Adkins is con....and it was terrible. a few highlights, if you will: [o yes, direct quoting]
"In the middle of all this lies the Gay Paradox: On one hand, gay peopel demand we accept them as parental equals. On the other, popular gay culture seems preoccupied with emphasizing its unstable, dark side, fightening away those who seek a truly unvarnished inspection of this issue. Sorry you can't have it both ways."
"People generally except a nonpartisan stance when an organization like AAP endorses a practice or social movement that affects children. Yet recently, the AAP has taken decidedly liberal stances on numersou issues- in favor of gun control, and against mandated parental disclosure for children seeking abortions."
"But the report's attitude is quite clear. Barbara Howard, a co-author of the AAP statment, said, 'Lesbian-parented daughters may experiment with lesbian sex more than a control group, but is this necessarily a problem?' Apparently not for the AAP."
so i'll just let ya'll see the huge vast gorges in his logic.

in other news: i watched pirates of the caribbean 2...it was not as good as the first, not very surprising. if you get the chance to watch it w/ the commentary it's interesting b/c it's the writers so they talk about all the foreshadowing and literary techniques...visual techniques? it was interesting if you're into that stuff. it would have been better if they had also had an actor's commentary this dvd, but they only got in the writers' stuff.
all in all, a pretty good 3 months.
and house is on! yay, bye now.
