So I was inspired by the awesome BuffyverseTop5 LJ community’s reccs on great Whedonverse/Kripkeverse crossover fanfic to make a list of my own. Unfortunately, I didn’t read all the rules very well and I ended up submitting my list of fics to the mods and LJ deleted my submission. : (
Please note that all my reccs do not involve OOC-ness because no matter how good a story is, if they do not sound like the characters, you're taking me out of the story man! Please check these out and let the authors know what y'all think. Let me know too!

Champions and the Afterlife are Easily Parted (Cordelia/Dean) by
dollarformyname This Cordelia based crossover fic with SPN is absotively amazing. It takes place post AtS and goes AU after SPN 4x1, when Dean digs himself out of his grave. It’s very thought-provoking and you can visualise most of it as if it’s happening on-screen. There are also a lot of characters from the Whedonverse that feature very credibly and fantastically in this fic. Sam and Ruby and Lilith are also in this. Dollarformyname is an incredibly talented authoress, and that is why three of her fics made my top 5 recc list.
“I knew you were dead,” she said triumphantly.
His brows knitted together in confusion. “Not exactly the reaction I expected.”
“I'm full of surprises,” she replied off-handedly, flapping a hand around like this was all standard operating procedure. “The whole coming back from the dead thing? So overdone. I mean, I can name more people who've died at least once and lived to tell about it than people who haven't. Myself included. Seriously, talk about beating a dead horse.” She thought about that for a moment and cocked a brow. “Except I'm not a horse,” she assured. “And you better not beat me.”

Destiny’s Reach (Winchesters and Lorne) by dollarformyname
This one is a SPN/AtS fic that focuses on Post-NFA Lorne... I was hugging myself and laughing to myself when I read all the Lorne bits. That’s how in character he was. And Sam and Dean are pegged and written perfectly too.
The first time they came, Lorne was in his second day of being holed up in a crappy motel with an offensive color scheme that was made less offensive by the competing smells of stale urine and cigarette smoke. He was seven sheets to the wind and couldn't say for sure if there were four midgets or two eight foot giants.
“Whoa,” two of the midgets or one of the giants said when Lorne answered the door.

Waiting to Thaw (Dean/Buffy) by dollarformyname
Prepare to have your heart broken into a dozen pieces. This Buffy/Dean pairing fic comes with a definite hanky warning! There is a character death, but it’s just so lovely a story you’ll just have to read it.
He shifted in his seat, denim creaking against leather, one wrist resting loosely on the wheel as he relaxed a little further back into his seat. Left hand tapping absently at his thigh, Dean smirked as she regaled him with another wild tale interspersed with words he was still convinced she was making up. The words, not the tale. He could believe a lot, after all.
The greens and golds of early spring zipped by behind her, sunlight crashing over golden hair as she sat with her back to the passenger's side door. Her knees were pulled up to her chest and crossed at the ankles so she could face him fully. Hands flapping around animatedly, green eyes twinkled dully with mirth and sorrow, false smile pulling up the corners of her mouth as she focused on relaying the humor and happiness in all the horror. She was pretty blasé about the horror aspect of it, her too-bright smile covering for the nostalgia more than anything.

Love is a Battlefield (Dean/Cordelia) by
Cas and Ficbitch
An unusual Dean/Cordelia story, it’s so great but it’s a WIP and has not been updated in a while. Perhaps some good feedback will prompt the author to get on it. *hint hint*
"I don't put a whole lot of stock into visions or 'can't'." He said, pulling out a bag of flour and setting it on the old dinner table. "Did you really come here just to tell me I'm wrong and it's gonna kill me? Funny, didn't get the feeling you cared." If it had been Sammy, he'd have told him to shut up. Maybe he wanted her to do the same.
"I don't," Cordelia shot back, "care, that is. I came because-"
Because the PTB still think of me as their bitch, she thought sourly, Or their puppet. I'm not sure what's worse.
"I put a lot of stock into my visions," she decided on finally, waiting until his back was turned before taking one of the Tylenol he'd placed on the coffee table. Petty, maybe, but she wasn't about to let him think he'd done her any favors really. "And that vision showed me a guy that needed saving. If I'd known it was you, I'd have stayed home." Not that she had a home, these days. But he didn't need to know that.

Normalcy and the Takeaway Devil (Buffy centric) by
FaithUnbreakable This is the second instalment in a series about Buffy and the Winchester brothers crossing paths. The first on is good but this one is just so juicy, and amazingly good, you’ll be forgiven for trying to eat it. Buffy joins the WB on the road, after they helped her vanquish a demon that manifested itself in nightmares in the first story. Characterisations are all spot on and the story unfolds wonderfully. You can see it all happening.
After two weeks on the road with her, the Winchesters had come up close with most of her quirks and they amused themselves with watching others try and figure the slayer out. Good luck to them. Even knowing about Buffy’s day job and super skills, she sometimes didn’t make much sense.
Like now. She was staring blankly toward the pool tables, chin resting on her hand, yawning. “Hey, Dean?”
“Mhm?”
“Who decided what color the balls are?”
“What?” Dean looked up from the menu he was still studying just for the hell of it and followed her line of vision.
“Who decided what color the pool balls are? I mean, why isn’t there a pink one?”
“Because it wasn’t invented by Barbie?” he suggested, eyebrow raised, menu forgotten in his lap. Sam shrugged off his jacket and leaned back to watch what promised to be an interesting discussion.
Okay, and because its my LJ and I can add more than 5 if I want to here's a few more greats...
