Random story is totally random

So I was sitting at work the other day and I just totally spaced out and started writing this. Ignored URRRRONE that I work with, they thought I was PMSing or something to that affect. Anyway, this is what resulted from that trans-like state of mind. It's not beta because man... there's nothing that's supposed to come from it just randomness and a bunch more randomness. So, I may warn you that it's nothing that I'm working on but just wanted to throw it out there for the hell of it. >_>

As she sat at the table, not far from her stood a man, his back towards her. She had been working for most of the night and hadn't noticed him until now. Whenever she shut her eyes to relieve the pressure, stress, of being awake for so long it seemed as if the stranger grew closer and closer.

There was one more person who had stayed and who had been furiously working away on the computer but he didn't seem to notice the third person in the room, who had mysteriously appeared. She began to think that she was hallucinating, that her eyes were playing a trick on her as a result of the lack of rest, so she decided to get up and stretch. Before she could move, the stranger slowly turned around, growing closer and closer as if he was gliding across the floor in her direction. Suddenly paralyzed with fear, unable to breath or move, she had fallen victim to this stranger.

She tried to yell out to her coworker, who seemed to not have noticed anything of what was going on, but found that she had also lost the ability to speak. Slowly she managed to blink her eyes, the presence of the stranger still over her shoulder. She shut her eyes tightly and suddenly felt as if she was plummeting into an endless pit. She wasn’t sure if it was all really happening, but down she went deeper and deeper.

She tried to reach out and grab a hold of something, anything, but without luck. It seemed as if it was a wide pit, she wasn’t able to save herself. The pressure in her chest began to build as she struggled to scream, though at this point she felt as if all hope was lost. Why should she panic though? Her mind, filled with endless thoughts of what was happening.

Prior to the nightmare that she was in, she had thoughts of suicide. That jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge, ending her life, would release her from the prison she felt she was in. At least this way, if she were to die, she wouldn’t see it coming. Her whole life had no meaning; everyone else had grown and started their own families. Although she had never wanted to start a family, she still yearned for the companionship. Not for the partnership that one would have with a man, because she didn’t have those kinds of feelings.

Throughout her life she had been strangely attracted to both sexes but was always turned on more with the female anatomy. It was a fascinating work of art that she wanted to study, touch, and love. No one truly knew how she felt because of her fear that they would constantly mock and ridicule her in front of anyone and everyone. It always seemed to happen at family functions, the status of her personal life would come up and they would ask whom her new boyfriend was. Often times she would make up a person that she had met just to keep the family satisfied.

As she continued to drop she reflected on all the things, events, that had occurred in her life, realizing, how throughout her whole life she had always sought approval of others, even at the cost of her happiness.

Realization after realization came to her, as she plunged into the darkness below, the more she thought about her life, the more she realized that she needed to start living for herself. To start to do things that made her happy, not because she was trying to seek the approval of others.

She began to feel the pressure in her chest lighten, and her downward descent began to slow. As the tears began to flow from her eyes she felt herself slow to a stop, landing on the ground with a small thud.

She awoke to her coworker, who was browsing through the Internet, not working as he had so often fooled others. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and got up to take a walk. Before she walked out, she turned to her co-worker, telling him that she was a lesbian and walked out the door.

This would be the beginning of the rest of her life and she was going to live it.
