My birthdays don't usually go well. I don't know why I ever expect them to.

I haven't really posted in awhile.. the calendar says march. I haven't had much to say that hasn't been said on facebook.
I finished my internship filled with silly kinderbabies, finished UCF in four years, and well I've just continued living

But now I'm in one of the worst times of year for me, my birthday... Generally speaking birthdays are happy and full of joy and a day all about you. we'll i decided to try to celebrate my birthday early in an attempt to better fit people's schedules since it is on memorial day observed. I tried two different days at three different places. First was Fiddler's Green, tastey Irish food. Ashley, Karou, and Austin showed, and Ashley and Austin set the shindig up for me, which was awesome since no one ever surprises me. But three people... Wayne tried but it was too early and since so few people showed we headed out earlier than expected.

Later Ash and I decided to head to backbooth, before so at ashley's house she lights up the birthday cake she made me and sing happy b-day and enjoy cake. Matt and Marko joined us, Wayne again tried but his apartment failed, so the four of us were off, since no one else really responded. And Ramon said he would meet us there. So we showed up... Usagi, Jackie, and Sean came as well, wished me a happy birthday and ran into a corner and kind of sulked. The three plus me that came together danced and were having a good ole time when someone asks for the number of someone from me that I DON'T enjoy even mentioning. The two groups keep seperated then the unwanted person on my end shows up and the other group begins to have fun. When we leave I get a quick "goodnight happy b-day" and we go our separate ways... *cough*jackasses*cough*

Saturday happens and I try to get more people interested in coming out. Nothing... marko responds but not much... Ashley is already at my place and well so is Austin. I realize no one else is going to contact me and I start to sulk. No one seems to care/take note that they missed the night before and don't even say "sorry I can't" they just ignore me. Austin and Ashley eventually drag/convince me to go out and kidnap Anthony along the way to go get some german food. It was tastey and they had good wine :] the oompa band sang me happy b-day in german and english and I was the last toast of the night :]

Sunday I ate birthday cake for breakfast

Monday (the actual day) I'm taking someone else shopping, probably going grocery shopping, getting a free chik-fil-a sandwich, and that's probably it.

My birthdays don't usually go well. I don't know why I ever expect them to. And I don't know why it hurts so much that only so few people care more than to say the words "happy b-day" on facebook or in text message. I don't expect or want gifts. I want your company. I want you to take an hour or two out of your day and join me. But apparently that is too much to ask. next year i'm doing something alone and for myself for my b-day. maybe a spa day or something else silly like that.

Austin and Ashley- Thank you so much for doing everything in your power to make my birthday awesome

Wayne- Thanks for trying

Marko- thanks for driving

Matt- thanks for keeping your promise to come out with me
