(no subject)
im updating my lj because brian told me to, and i do everything that brian tells me to.
if i were any other lj user, i would take this time to recap my year in bullet form, but i dont want to so im not gonna. but i will say that this past semester sucked, i miss duke, and i cant wait to be there. to the crew--i love you guys more than i could ever say. thank you for drowning sorrows with me with alcohol and cookie dough, for letting me sleep on your couch, for sex on the beach, for everything. i'll mess you guys immensely--see you in august! to duke basketball--next year is your year. to the university of north carolina, chapel hill--i just got 3 of my 4 grades in, and for the first time since high school, i might have straight a's *knock wood*. so excited--they're legitimately a's, none of that a minus bullshit. thank you state school for giving me at least some happiness in my life.
so im sitting at home, watching in good company with my dad. it feels good to be back, despite the fact that i'll be leaving on wednesday to go to SOUTH AFRICA!! so excited, even though the planning process hasnt panned out as it should. as robertsons, we're supposed to get 6 thousand dollars for our summer budget. my plane ticket cost $1800, and i got 700 for spending money. so...does that add up? i dont think so. quite honestly, i believe that the director of our summer program needs to get canned, because i think she's using robertson money for evil and not good. i think she's taking the rest of the money in the pool and using some of it to waste on a bed and breakfast rather than the house they used to use and the rest so that she can buy tickets and accommodations for her to come visit us (even though we dont want her to come). argh! frustration.
so i didnt realize until now how much i really miss my lakota posse. granted, i dont call or im any of them--but thats not because i dont love them immensely. its mostly cuz im lazy and so enthralled by the television that i cant bear to break away for a conversation. but i really do love them. anyways, this weekend is the reunion to end all reunions. beginning tomorrow evening, i'll begin my trek towards osu with my other favorite lauren (i had to take myself outta this one, cuz its a given that im traveling with my real favorite)--kube. we're gonna hang out with manda, and maybe brian and andy. im just so excited. on saturday we're gonna watch joey's sorority dance with the kappas at ou, then its party on. mega excited. one downside--miss erin lee is not coming. she's being a buttface and seeing her boyfriend--ryan price this'll come back to you. just kidding--enjoy yourselves.
