Real World Sydney
The last time I watched Real World (and I mean really watched it, like every episode) was Chicago in 2001/2002. It just got to be too predictable and the cast members know too well what archetypes they are meant to play. But I have to admit that the experience of watching the show is completely different when you know someone who's on it. The summer before Alison and I moved in together, she lived in an NYU dorm with a few other girls, one of whom was Parisa, who's now on the Real World. I spent many a night there and got to know her pretty well and it's so bizarre seeing her interacting with all the fakes on there. While I don't particularly revel in the idea of watching her potentially make out with anyone, and though it makes me anxious to see someone who I know really like irl get hurt and involved in catfights and the like, I think it's gonna be my new obsession.
