I began today bright and early, with a 7:30 train ride to midtown. Sadly, it was a holiday, so the train took forever to come that early, and went through Hoboken. I rushed to get to the office by 8:30, when I'd been told to be there. Then it turns out no one was there to let me in til almost 9. Thanks. The first few hours were very chill, not much happening at all. As Marc and Jesse got there in the late morning things picked up. There's so much information to learn at this place, but I'll get it. It just takes time. Right now I'm in the early overload stages. It'll wear off. Anyway, I am sure this was the right move for me. While the learning curve is steep, I can see myself really doing well and enjoying myself here. I did work a really long day, especially for a first day, so that I have a total of nine hours already. Hope I can get some overtime to start. That'll be nice, and make up for the somewhat lower starting wage. I have to got to bed soon I think. I was much more tired tonight than I expected to be.
