Today was Alison's 22nd Birthday. We celebrated last night and today though. Her family came to JC for dinner and that was fun. We ate at Kamegachi in Newport. It was excellent. Very good Japanese/sushi place. yummy yummy. Then we came back here and opened presents (well, Alison did) and we all had cake.
Today, Alison, Joel, Joanna and I went to the Met to see the special supernatural photography exhibit. Most everything was a known hoax, but it was interesting. Alison and I stayed later and saw more exhibits, mainly the roof garden and the Asian wing (where I'd never been before.) Then we went to Soho to get pizza and see Mirrormask at the Sunshine. It was good, but didn't feel as much like Gaiman or Jim Henson Co. as I had expected. Still, one of the only movies that have motivated me to go to a theater in forever, and it didn't disappoint.
Tomorrow we were going to go to the NY Times' Great Read in the Park, but have decided instead to have a picnic in Liberty State Park. What better way to take advantage of the wonderful weather, which I'm sure won't last for too much longer?
Happy birthday, honey.
