Today I did not spend a cent. I took my own breakfast instead of getting it at the deli, and ate leftover italian from yesterday for lunch. I didn't buy any snacks or beverages throughout the day, and didn't buy anything on the way home or tonight. Days like this make me proud, but I do get an itch to spend money every day, even if it's on a can

$10 a day on food? Wow.

well, that's for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes, when I eat somewhere more expensive, like Au Bon Pain or Cosi I spend more on lunch.

and any dinner or afterwork stuff is not included in this estimate.

I wish I spent $10 a day on food because then I could stop and be a lot richer than I was before.

It's both gratifying and sad to know I can't live my life any more inexpensively than I am.

I know what you mean, though I don't feel nearly as much gratification as I do sadness about how much it costs me to live.
