after
uberfunk expressed such interest in the post about the music i've been into lately, i thought it might be worthwhile to post some other media i'm surrounded by lately.
today's topic: books.
this year has been very scattered in terms of reading. lots of magazines, lots of news, and a fair amount of nonfiction. a little bit of some other stuff, but mostly that. i've started a lot of books that i have yet to finish, and i just sort of let them float around, eventually finishing one every few months, or maybe longer if i'm more into other stuff (look for games, movies, television posts in the future).
anyway, these are just the books that are around, mostly not in bookcases, but some recently placed there. i have books on my nightstand, in the bathroom, on tables in the living room, on my dining room table, and stacked up on my desk in my office. they're the overflow of the last year or two, and they include the most recent acquisitions, the ones i'm actually reading, and stuff i started a while ago and then haven't had time for or whatever. i skimmed through all my books, and this should be a good list of what i've been reading the past couple/few years, what i'm into right now, and what i'll be reading in the next year or two.
some of these could have fit into more than one of the headings below. a good deal of what i read straddles the divide between philosophy and science, or between fiction and theology.
