Some Uni Stuff

Well, I'm in my fourth week of my second year and I'm still enjoying it. Have to say that the last two weekends' worth of parties has been very distracting, leading to some missed lecture time, but I think I'm still up to date with the course material.

Quantum Mechanics is still pretty easy; manipulating a wave equation... how hard can it be? Classical Mechanics and Relativity is mostly just Classical Mechanics with more integration and differential equations but actually seems easier than last year.

Computing is C++ revisited but with more complicated physics to decipher and now requires a lab-report style hand in. That sucks balls. The first assignment took me about an hour to program correctly but the write up took about four hours. That really sucks balls. I was thinking of taking the C++ module in my third year for the hell of it (well, an easy module is an easy module whatever year it comes in) but if we have to write it up I think I won't bother.

Nuclear Physics is about as clear as mud at the moment. Well, that's not entirely true. The concepts we're being shown make a lot of sense (provided you think Quantum Mechanics makes sense... which of course it does). Why I can't add fractions when they are called angular momentum and spin is beyond me. It's not hard. It's just adding. Get with it! Grrr....

The second year maths course is completely mad and hurts my brain. The lecturer is mad too but that's okay because he's great!
