My normal friday

Mar 23, 2007 07:55

So it's friday morning. Usually I'm up at 6, ready to face the day. Into work at 7 to grab a hot chocolate and be ready for delivery. I then put a 100 odd case delivery waway before starting to prep for the day. After making a hundredish starters, mixing 4 small vats of sauce and getting 150+ pizza bases ready to use I get a 20 min break. Doors open at 11:30 by which time I also need about 70 pizzas made for the buffet, ready to be used through the day. My help comes in at 12, so I'm not alone all day. I stick on the Guns and Roses, myself and Banjo sing Sweet Child of mine (this maybe the highlight of the shift). At 3:30 Banjo (aka Sarah) goes for a quick break whilst I make sure that all the dough for night shift is ready and everything is clean/tidy. All in all, when I leave at four I have been on my feet for 9 hours doing heavy lifting and making 140 odd pizzas, 30 portions of garlic bread, 20 portions of potato wedges and around 20 other starters. I roughly do £1000 worth of sales.

The thing is, it's 8am now....I should be halfway through delivery. Despite the fact I am healthy, and was rotered to work today I find myself eating breakfast at my computer...for I am still at home. Today I start at Fastsigns...a real job, of sorts. I get to go in and try a day marketing, which sounds quite fun. So, basically, today maybe the day I hand my notice in at pizza hut...there is an overwhelming urge to write it in crayon...but I shall refrain. There is also a temptaion to deliver the note via ninja. Again...must.....refrain. Hope everyone enjoys their day, because I'm sure I will enjoy mine :)
