Hi folks...what a day.

Today I pilot a Cesna 172 by myself... yeah yeah, you heard me right.  We start at Mascouche airport and went to Joliette back and forward.  It was an amazing experience...tough to describe.  Let's start from the beginning.

My friends "the vampires" gave me for my birthday a gift certificate at ALM par avion for a great experience.... "Pilot for a day".  So I called and take an appointment for today, September 23rd.  I got there at 10:45 in the morning and start a 90 minutes on the ground training.  Once completed, we jumped into a Cesna 172 and get ready for departure.  When I say "we", I'm talking about the instructor, myself and Y's two sons.  So we got into the aircraft and at this point, the instructor gave me some last minute directions.  5 minutes later, we were on the runaway 29 of Mascouche airport and finally ready to go.  I pull the engine button to full throttle and release the break.  Yesssss....15 secondes later I was in the air, flying for the first time on my life.

I will not describe in full all that I've been trough but we went to land to Joliette airport.  After a few minutes on the ground, we got everything ready again for another take-off, going back to Mascouche.  My first landing in Joliette was so so but both my take-off and my landing in Mascouche were not bad at all.  According to my instructor, I was quite good at maintaining the trim (being align with the horizon).

I'll post pictures of my flight later this week.  It was some amazing experience but considering that flying is a very expensive activity, I don't think I'll have the chance of doing it for at least the next few years (reading manga is a cheap activities compare to that, let's stick to this).

Mean while, My friend
nuevayuimaxwell had a Dragon boat competition this week-end in Montréal.  I don't yet the result of her week-end but I really hope she brought home some gold....

Also, and to finish, I'm glad my friend
0eiennohoshi0 decide to start another Live journal...I'll read you as long as you'll write ;)

That's it for tonight, talk to you soon...

just unbelievable
