Yesterday was a pretty good day at work in the sense that I got alot accomplished. Unfortunately, no day comes and goes without making a difficult decision. This guy Thomas, who I sometimes work with, called me just as I was about to leave for the day and he asks me if I'd be interested in staying late, like 1 or 2am late to work on a deal with him. Our firm is considering buying an internet service provider and he wanted me to help him out with the process. Being the stubborn and routine-driven person I am, I really had no interest in staying, especially not when at that time of the day I am just looking to go home and relax. I didn't want to stay because I knew the whole time I'd be wanting to go home and I wouldn't be focused or determined on the goal at hand. I told my dad this and of course, he believes I made the wrong decision and we didn't have the best of conversations about it, but it's all good now. I have two days left here, I really couldn't care anymore. I want to leave a positive impression and leave on good terms and I still feel that is quite possible especially since this wasn't a life and death decision.
On the more serious side of unfortunate news, as me and my dad came home yesterday, I found out that during the afternoon, my mom had taken my Grandma to the ER. In the morning, she was complaining of a fever, ahces/pains and I thought it was probably due to the horrendous weather. I was quite wrong, it turns out that her kindey stones have resurfaced and she might have a possible infection of the kidney. Dr. Billmire, you probably have a better grasp of all this than I do so if you have any input that would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty sure that she will be fine, I just want her to make a quick, healthy recovery. Went to go visit immediately after I got home, she's alright, and I really can't focus at work, right now. It seems that over the past 2-3 years, my grandma and grandfather have been taking turns in the hospital, it's just that age. Yet again though, she's in the hospital right before we were going on vacation, last time it was before the family was going to Alaska. But anyways, a vacation is the second concern right now and I want her to be fine.
I hope all the ladies got home safe the other day and had as much fun as I did seeing and hanging out with them. Gotta endure 1 more month. Alright, back to work
