"That's a casino!!!"-Delrena
Oh, gollie-gee-whitakers! Well, things have finally sort of calmed down and back to normal, or as close as possible. We had a fun time in Florida! Granted, 5 girls together for 7 days, everyone is going to get on everyone's nerves but thankfully, we survived..well,barely! haha*
My subject line comes from our flight back home..we were sitting there and I happened to glance out the window and I saw a red light and a green light flashing which appeared to be on the ground. I said to Delrena, "Hey Delrena, what do you think those colored strobe light thingies mean down there??" and as soon as I said it I realized, stupid Denise..those are on the wings of the aircraft! ah! So here I am feeling stupid, UNTIL Delrena so calmly turns to me and says ever so confidently..."Denise!! That's a casino!!!...every casino I've ever seen is green (or red I can't remember which color she said)" I started laughing so hard I couldn't explain to her that it was actually on the wing! She finally realized what I was trying to say to her and we cackled..I mean horse laughed forever over that! --Maybe ya had to be there but it was hilarious! Oh gosh...that was after we sprinted through the Atlanta airport, omg! Ya'll it's times like that when I wish we had cameras following us because that would have made us like a million bucks easily! Cheryl leads the pack, then it's Delrena..close behind is me in 3rd and then Sommer (who is wearing 'elfs' not 'elves..lol' elfs..they're boots and high and uncomfortable and certainly not running shoes. Anyway..Cheryl and Delrena get completely out of sight from me and Sommer, I couldn't see Sommer but I could hear her boots coming behind me...so I finally catch up w/ Del and she's like "I had to stop...where's my puffer??" (her inhaler) and I start laughing and we keep trucking on...so then we don't really think there is any reason for us to be running because technically our plane should have taken off like 10 minutes ago or something and we see one of those screens that tells all the information and I'm looking and I see that our flight is -now boarding- so we start running again as hard as we can! My pants are literally like about to fall off and my boobs omg.....they are bouncing around like crazy and I'm like Thank the good Lord I never have to see any of these people ever again! Shew, it was hilarious but thankfully we made it!! We got back to Tri-city and I fell. Yes, that was the last accident for me! Although I had many before that!
Let me list them:
bruise on right shin from getting in the boat to go parasailing, bad blood bruise kind of thing on the right side of my butt and leg from getting out of the boat; Bruise on my left forearm from I dunno what; bruise on my left knee and right foot from falling in the Tri-city airport! omg! Ya'll I was so accident-prone for some reason and Delrena carried our breakables all throughout the trip, running through the airport and everything she hands them to me for 2 seconds when we get back so she can hug her man and I fall! Luckily I didn't break anything but it was so funny and embarassing but I've come to embrace the clutz in me..I'm such a dork! Yeah, somewhere, there's a man who would feel lucky to have such a woman as me! haha*
Well, it really was fun! I went parasailing twice..first time w/ my sissy and Delrena! Those guys that were doing it all were such pranksters..they looked at me before they let us go and said, "oh no! she's not strapped in right!" and then let us blow off the boat! I started freaking out until they started laughing! They made it fun though and then they dipped us in the ocean, yes in the OCEAN, omg..when I asked them not to, BUT it was very fun!! The second time w/ my dear friend Matt who I had no idea was even in Daytona until Del and I went to go see "Dukes of Hazzard" which I loved btw...and when we came out he was standing there! They didn't dip us that time, of course it was a different crew but they were fun too! Delrena got her thumb smashed by some big fat guy leaning back on it!! It was awesome! We were walking down the sidewalk and -some great big bad biker man (lol)- yelled "Haay Blondie"....I turned and was like, "whaat?" and they were like, "keep walking Denise!! don't look!" Thanks again ;)
Came back home and spent some time with my mamaw and Gerald..they're awesome! My parents rock, the best ever! and my brother and sister are okay...j/p! They rock too! I have the best friends ever..I am Blessed! I went to Youth at Zion Thursday and it was good, then we all went out to eat at the Huddle House, got an unexpected phone call then came home and had a conversation that I really didn't expect but it was reaaaally needed and I am *so* glad that it happened! =) Praise Jesus!
Um, so there's more and I've already written enough to bore you to death although I could write more about my vacation..lol..BUT it just started raining, like pouring and I LOVE to sleep during times like this..sooooo I'm going to bed!! I love ya and I mean it, really! Mwah! Love-Hangin' Up!
