so, last night there was a premiere of a new film by Godard at the Centre Pompidou, in honor of their upcoming complete retrospective of his work (the first time that's ever been done). Godard was scheduled to present it. all weekend long I refused to let myself think about it, lest we not be able to get tickets. Alex got there early Monday morning

I think maybe Godard heard that THE Liz McKee was going to be second row and he got cold feet. Even if you didn't see him, at least he was thinking about you!
