Two Recs
First off, this is my new favorite song HOMG. I would hear it all the time on the cable radio while I hung out with the laptop, writing in bed, and I was like, eh, it's fine. I downloaded and now listen to it nonstop. It's become an unofficial theme song for the latter part of my not-so-sekrit Christmas story.

There's Always Tomorrow
21K, NC-17, Summary: Jensen Ackles is a rich CEO whose lack of purpose is catching up to him. The only thing that keeps him sane is the ballet, his eyes always focused on one dancer: Jared Padalecki. He never expects for them to meet, and he never expects Jared to be there for him when his life falls apart. It's on a sidewalk in December that Jensen's life changes forever, taking small steps that could finally lead him to true happiness.
I have no words for this, seriously. It all started when she emails me all a-flutter about going to the ballet and imagining Jared as a ballerina but would it be believable? I said circa 2006-2007, sure, why not? Male dancers are built, it's not so surprising that his body could be seen in tights (HEE). And so of course, since I have uncovered my powers of enabling, I pushed her to do it. And then it grew and of course I let it grow, egging her on and all. A few mornings, I beta-ed the story on the train ride in and it instantly put me into a great mood for the entire day, you have no idea. It's lovely and sweet and funny and sexy and has an underling current of UST, and still carries the holiday spirit with it.
