He feels as though his brain and stomach are sloshing around with the sway of the train getting back up to full speed, and he's not sure if he wants to remain standing and get his bearings back or drop to the ground in misery.
"You should sit down," Jared says with a roll of his eyes and blase tone.
"This was a terrible idea," Jensen moans.
"You meant terriffic." Jared grins. "C'mon, it's not that bad. Just a little hiccup and we're on the move again."
The train slows then lurches once more and Jensen is now white-knuckling the edge of the bunk above where Jared's seated. He didn't really think it was going to be that big of a deal when Jared suggested a cross-country trip via train, but now his body is informing him that motion sickness could be an issue.
Jared snorts. "You're making a big deal out of nothing."
Jared is still smiling up at him, as if Jensen is the fool and not Jared for coming up with this hare-brained idea.
"This is a Class 5 Emergency, Jared."
Rolling his eyes, Jared sighs. "You cannot use my system against me. And it's a 3 at best."
The train car shuffles side to side as the clack-clack-clack of the wheels on the track gets louder. Jensen has no clue how they'll manage to eat or sleep on this train, and they have another sixteen hours to go until they hit Colorado, which is not even the end of the line for them.
"We're gonna be stuck in this car for hours," Jensen complains.
"Yeah, exactly."
"For hours, Jared."
"I know," Jared presses back. "That's the point."
"Oh." Jensen watches as Jared's smile becomes something more lethal, more lascivious, and he thinks about just dropping into Jared's lap instead of to the floor. "Oh, yeah." Jensen's own tone changes and he murmurs, "Yeah, that's a terrific idea."
