If It's a Day, a Month, A Year: (7/7)

She made Susan promise to not let her drink too much at the wrap party. Her greatest fear of the night - aside from making an ass of herself in front of Jensen and basically earning the disapproval of Jared’s best friend and confidante - was getting drunk and not being able to stay away from Jared. A few people started whispering on set that gossip blogs had gotten word they were extremely close, and began speculating that Jared was on another one of his dating-a-costar runs. She wasn’t sure what bothered her more, that people were talking about them together, or that they thought it was just a run-of-the-mill hook up. Even while she had been so adamant against Jared for precisely that reason, the last few weeks had sealed more in her mind than she could have thought possible. Being with him for those long days proved to be one of the best things she’d ever let happen. She was running without much thought - trying to ignore the possibility that he was totally lying to her and fucking with her until time ran out - and basically enjoying it all, as if it were real and absolutely going to stay that way.

But she was still fighting the idea of keeping it between them. On one hand, she was really enjoying how cloak and dagger it all was, and not being able to be forward with him in front of everyone just made her want to do more with him behind closed doors, and truly appreciate their time alone. On the other, she didn’t want to hear anything from anyone about it. She secretly feared people would think it was just an onset thing, and didn’t want to believe it. Not to mention how his fans would react and she didn’t want a bazillion girls cursing the day she was born just because she wasn’t as great as a past girlfriend, or someone else they envisioned him with. She was doing to her best to deal with the innocent public appearances, and know that he still wanted her, and she so wanted him.

And with that, she would casually watch him work the wrap party and talk with Jensen on the side. It had been nearly an hour since they arrived with little more than a few shared smiles across the cocktail lounge, but she was giving it a break. She knew how important it was for him to be with Jensen, especially after they had been apart for so long. Cameron had to let it rest and just be thankful that she was about 99% sure that he would go home with her at the end of the night and not head off for more time with his friend.

“What’re you drinking?” he murmured at her ear.

Cameron leaned against the bar and looked at him. Seeing nothing terribly new from what he wore when they went out, she still wanted to curl her hands into his dark sweater and pull him close, smell the musky cologne she knew he would wear. She smiled at him. “Where’s Jensen? I thought you were connected dick to ass?”

“Whose dick to whose ass?”

“I always pictured you a bottom.”

“I thought you liked when I was on top?”

“I’m talking about with Jensen.”

“Someone getting jealous?”

“I’m learning to share. I know he’s your favorite person right now.”

Jared smiled then looked down at the glass in her hand. “What is that anyway?”

“I think it’s club soda.” She shrugged and took a quick sip.

“Lightweight.”His hand rubbed gently against the back of her dress, fingers skating across the light fabric.

“I told Susan to watch me.”

He lightly groped the back of her neck. “Are you that afraid of him?”

Cameron slid just a nudge to the side and out of his grip. “No, I don’t want to molest you in public.”

That hand rested at the bar as he sighed. “Well, there goes my whole evening.”

“You can have Jensen blow you in the bathroom. I heard it’s well-lit.”

“Yeah, I’m right here,” a third voice said.

She closed her eyes on the word, “Fuck,” and then looked to him, embarrassed. “Hi.”

Jensen reached a hand out to shake and smirked. “He said you have a dirty mouth.”

“No, I said she did dirty things with her mouth.”

She glared at Jared, watching him slip an arm over Jensen and so wishing it could be her shoulders touching his hand. This was going to be harder than she had planned. Still, she complained, “Oh, my God. I hate you.”

“That sounds about right,” he said with a smile. “I’m Jensen, the boyfriend.”

“Great, he told you that, too.”

Jared smiled and spoke lowly, looking around the room nonchalantly. “I didn’t tell him how you give head for food, don’t worry.”

They shared a smirk and watched her horror slowly fade. “Okay, I really need a drink for this.”

He steered her waist with his hands to face the bar and leaned over her while trying to get the bartender. “What’re you drinking? Something real?”

She enjoyed his weight, and the warmth, against her and let him stay. Maybe if she wasn’t making pointed movements on him no one would notice and just figure Jared was being Jared. Even with that excuse, she felt tense. “I was thinking a triple shot of Patron. You know, to take the edge off.”

When the bartender came, he quickly ordered a gin and tonic, vodka cranberry, and beer, and then looked down on her. With a quick tug at the side of her dress, he murmured. “Whatever this is, it’s easy to get off right?”

Her head tipped closer to his. “Not as easy as you are.”

“If you’re not going to let me touch you all night, I’m going to need some serious make-ups later. I’m talking the equivalent to $300 meals.”

“I’m letting you touch me right now.”

“You’re frigid as a sleeping cow.”

She moved enough away to look at him clearly, but not so much that he wasn’t still touching her. “It’s a wonder I waited so long to say yes.”

Before replying, he took a sip of the cranberry drink then moved the gin and tonic her way. “Here, this’ll put some hair on your chest.”

Deadpanned, she stared at him. “Oh, how you are my hero.”

When he moved away, she saw Jensen accept the beer from his friend. He smirked at Cameron, who tried her best to not be horrified at him hearing everything they’d just said and smiled, rubbing a hand to the back of her head before fluffing some hair out.

“Hey, I’ll be back,” Jared said quickly, nodding at someone across the room. “Try not to get too offended by her, she’s kind of obnoxious.”

Cameron watched him leave with a curt smile then looked to Jensen. “Wow. And you put up with that for five years.”

“I was pretty drunk most of the time. Don’t remember a thing.” She smirked at his tone while he eyed her drink and gave a questioning glance. “You probably want something real, don’t you?”

Rolling her eyes, “This is real.”

“What’s on the menu? Mojito? Cosmo?”

“Do I look like I stepped out of a Glamour magazine?”

He flipped an eyebrow and purposely looked at her dress and polished hair. “Today, you kind of do.”

She took a sip of her drink, just to prove that she could handle it, but the bitterness sucked in her cheeks and she coughed in her throat, doing her best to keep it there. Jensen smiled, moving to the bar, ordering her a glass of white wine. He didn’t make another comment on it but she quickly laughed. “Yeah, he’s fucking crazy.”

He smiled, “He is, yeah.”

“How was your shoot?” she asked quickly.

“Obviously not as fun as yours.” Jensen handed her the new glass, taking the other away.

“Nothing ever is without me,” she replied with a smile.

He took a long swig of beer and smiled gently. “He’s real excited about this movie coming out.”

She leaned against the bar with interest. “Yeah?”

“He was a little amped when he first got the script, but now for sure. He says there’s a lot of good stuff on film.”

“Well, that just may be the bedroom talking. I don’t know, he can’t really concentrate that well.”

He eyed her, picking up on her tone. “Hopefully he’ll go celibate for the next one so he can accurately judge the quality.”

Cameron laughed before taking a sip of wine. “I’ll withhold sex just so he makes good film decisions. Girl Scout’s Honor.”

“Can’t be any worse than any of this other movies.”

“I know. How can that compete with My Bloody Valentine?”

“You even see it?” Jensen asked with an amused voice.

“Uh, no. I have a life.”

“Well, aren’t you lucky?”

“That I didn’t see it? Very. From what I’ve heard.”

They continued talking, each smarting on the other and while there was little to no actual laughter, they were smiling and enjoying each other. As soon as he accepted the shot about his movie, she relaxed and continued to accept refills on the wine, loving the loose feeling she always got off wine in feeling happy, relaxed drunk, as opposed to sloppy or melancholy from other liquors. They weren’t even sure how long it’d been since Jared walked away, but neither had searched him out or looked for the time. Instead they just continued talking and enjoying the other’s humor being so alike, really dragging it out in a deadpan contest.

When Jared finally found them, they were hiding just outside the back door, each with a cigarette, his laugh and her giggle piercing the dark night. “Well, this looks like a good idea.”

Cameron quickly hid her hand behind Jensen and dropped the butt, stomping it out as soon as possible. He spoke up, trying to distract Jared. “Hey. What’s up?”

“What’re you guys doin’?” he asked curiously.

“Dude, you were right. Totally obnoxious.” Cameron smacked his back and he laughed then slipped an arm around her shoulders, leading her to slip one behind his back. “So, Cam and I were talking and -”

“What?” Jared realized they were both buzzed, that was for sure. “He doesn’t call you Cam,” he replied, his voice level with a smile.

“He does now,” she replied plainly. “Listen to his plan, it’s ingenious.”

“So, Cam and I are going to go home together, and let everyone take pictures of it. That way the heat’s off you two.”

Cameron added on, “And you two.”

Even when he knew they were joking, Jared replied a little quickly and hot. “Yeah, I kind of hate that idea.”

“Really?” she asked with innocence. “I thought it was good. I mean, he at least bought me wine. You gave me gasoline.”

He moved closer to her, hands in his pockets. “How much wine he buy you?”

Jensen smiled, slipping away, but nudged his shoulder against hers. “Enough to make her nice.”

“Didn’t even know that was possible.”

“Ha, ha. You guys are hysterical.”

Jared tucked her against him, a hand at her shoulder. “You really want to go home with him?”

Cameron reached a hand out, a finger gently tapping the space beside Jensen’s mouth. “You were so right about this pouty mouth."

Jensen laughed, grabbing her finger and tugging lightly. “Solid, Jare,” he said with a nod.

She wasn’t even sure what that meant, but Jared smiled brightly. “Can you give us a min, man?”

Jensen moved towards the door. “Yeah, yeah, of course.”

Once he was gone, Jared turned her against the wall and bumped right against her. He nudged his head against hers, thankful they were alone where he could touch and he could kiss her, which he started to do before wiggling his nose and pulling back. “You taste like burning. Since when do you smoke?”

Cameron sighed, not even sure what the right answer would be. That she had for years but kept it under wraps. That she had slowed down since they started up, and made sure to religiously brush her teeth at every opportunity just so he wouldn’t taste it on her. Or that she really wanted one when she drank. Any of those were good answers, and pretty much true. All of them. She always wanted a cigarette when drinking, and had fought so hard to never have one when they drank together, just so she wouldn’t have to deal with his disappointment.

But when Jensen had suggested finding a spot to smoke quickly, she went with it and happily accepted a cigarette.

“What’s the right answer?” she asked playfully.

“The truth.”

“Since right now?”

“Cam.”

She almost whined. “Jensen totally peer pressured me. Have you seen those eyes? They’re seductive and evil.”

When he sighed, she took a long drink from her wine glass, nearly swigging the liquor around without being too obvious about it, swallowed, and then put it on the ground. “You’re going to blame it on him?” he smiled.

“If it’ll work.” Cameron walked her fingers down the front of his sweater, stopping at the waist of his pants and pulling slightly.

His head tipped back into hers. “You’re playing dirty.”

“I learned from the master.”

Jared kissed gently then looked at her seriously. “He likes you.”

“How can he not? I look awesome tonight,” she smirked.

He smiled back. “No, I mean you’re good. You were successful in hiding your bitchy and neurotic side.”

She pushed her head back into his. “Fuck you, Padalecki. I am totally charming.”

His smile spread. “Come here,” he said, even when she had nowhere else to go.

Their mouths joined up, tongues playing in the way they had learned in the last two weeks to best be together. His hands pressed her closer while hers went against his pants, eliciting the tiniest of groans, but enough that she felt it shiver through her and whimpered back. She took away his belt and unbuttoned and unzipped his pants just enough to reach in and feel him starting to get hard. She closed tight fingers around him and began working her hand up and down.

“Oh, shit,” he whispered against her lips as she kept up her movements, slowing enough at the head to press her thumb against the slickness, before sliding her now-wet hand back down, and up again. Her other palm slid under his shirt, rubbing against the muscles in his abdomen that flexed impulsively as she jerked him off faster and faster. His hands pressed into the brick wall, bracketing her in, and his mouth twisted as it built inside him. “Fuck. Cam.”

She reached up to mouth her way along his neck, absolutely loving the swearing whenever she got him hot. Relishing his random calls of ‘shit’ as her other hand reached for his balls, rolling them like marbles between her fingers. “C’mon, Jare,” she murmured against his skin, loving that sweat was already forming beneath his ear and he continued to press his palms against the wall.

“Cam, you fuckin’ ...” His words broke off as his breath hitched just so and he whispered, “In a minute,” as warning.

When her hands moved away, he cursed against the cool night air, feeling it tickle his hips and upper thighs before he realized she was pulling his pants down just enough to free his dick. Cameron crouched before him, taking it in her mouth as best she could as he started to rock forward. She sucked him hard, moving her tongue round him so expertly that he was then without words and she could hear him humming some tuneless song. With a smile, she took him further, vacuuming everything in her mouth as she moved down and back up, down and again, until he finally cursed her once more and shook, slumping forward with his forearms against the cool brick. She drank it all in, licking gently on the underside of his tense dick and then just as gently, she ran her hand from the base to the tip to make sure he was settled and clean.

Jared kept his forearms and head pressed against the building, even as she stood up and was crunched between them. She tugged his pants up, righting them closed and hitching his belt back into place. His eyes were clamped shut, but his mouth hung open while the breathing evened out. He finally spoke, “You are my new favorite person.”

Her laugh bordered on a giggle, heightened by the wine and the joy she got from bringing him to orgasm. “What? Jensen doesn’t give head?”

His head went heavy against hers as he still worked on getting his senses back. “He won’t swallow.”

Cameron brought her hands to his sides, rubbing gently. “You are so deprived.”

He finally held her, hands groping her numbly. “That’s what I got you for.” Cameron laughed softly, moving up to kiss him with a languid tongue, kind of loving how slowly he recovered in moments like that. “And I didn’t even have to buy dinner.”

“The glories of a girlfriend. We do things for free once in a while.”

His voice was careful. “You said girlfriend.”

“Yeah,” she replied just as careful.

“Just making sure you know you said it first.”

“Do you have other girls blowing you in alleys?”

“It can be arranged if you ever get a headache.”

Despite her smile, she pushed him a few inches away. “I hate you.”

Jared turned against the building and looked down at her, pushing hair away from her face and holding it there with his hand against the side of her head. “Yeah, I don’t think so.” Her smile began to fade as he leaned back against the building, holding her against him. “What’s up?”

She spoke carefully. “We haven’t really talked about the next act.”

“Yeah, I kind of liked it that way. We don’t have to stress it. We’ll figure it out.”

“I know you’re full of endorphins from getting head outside the bar, but you really want to do this?”

He held her tight against his chest, looking on her with care, even when he joked. “I don’t care if it’s head in an alley or a hotel room. You do it like that every time, and I’m so in.”

Cameron fought the smile on her face, because while she absolutely loved his humor and how well they got along that way, she wasn’t exactly comforted by it at the moment. “Yeah, okay.” She moved away to recover her glass as he held onto one hand.

“Hey,” he said gently, tugging on her hand. “Come here.” He reeled her back in, kissing her forehead, then her mouth tenderly. “I’m all in, okay?” She didn’t answer, but he read the emotion glowing in her eyes, so he kissed her again to convince her.
