OMG WHAT WHAT WHAT.
WHUT WAS THAT LAST TWO MINUTES?! OMG. OMG. OMG.
I actually really loved this episode. I felt uneasy through the whole thing like "... what is going on?" But in the end I wanted to fistpump. I haven't felt THIS GOOD about show in a long while. You all know that, you know I've bitched and been disappointed. It makes me realize that SPN does a good job pulling things in (though they do handwave bits and ignore others, but overall, the last few eps of each season are pretty phenomenal - look, this is me being nice).
BEST THING: Being unspoiled. I love letting the whole thing unravel, you don't even know.
SURPRISING ADMISSION: Sam looked REALLY GOOD in the first scene. I love that blue shirt on him *sigh*
UNSURPRISING ADMISSION: DEAN LOOKS REALLY PRETTY GOOD THE WHOLE TIME ;-)
I kinda dig the slippery slope they're putting Cas on. I'm a bit troubled that they're breaking his character down like this, but hey, SPN likes making bad people a lil good and vice versa, so I'll buy it. I'm excited to see where that all goes AND OMG CROWLEY FTW. Best surprise ever.
Relatedly, I kinda hate knowing the actors' names because I'd actually forgotten what the preview was from last week, so seeing Samantha Smith in the credits was like 'aww, no surprise here.' But she was amazing in that scene. I still love young!Eve, too, and am kinda sad she's (maybe) gone (for good? just hopeful thoughts) because I enjoyed her. I was excited that she went down, because we all want Sam and Dean to win, but still. I was a bit disappointed that such an interesting (and well-acted) baddie went down before we really saw her raw power.
ETA: How sweet was the moment in the car with the other brothers in the backseat? A+ framing <3333
IN SHORT: SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. ILU. ♥
