Today is a surprisingly light day. I've had my morning coffee. And am in a delightfully wonderful mood, so ... I wanna timestamp, just short commentfics.
“I do not care,” Jensen grits out, feeling like he’s been on repeat for the past five minutes.
Jared shakes his head and pushes himself further down in the train seat. “It’s a three-day weekend and I’m asking what the hell you wanna do.”
Jensen sighs and looks out the window as the train ambles onto the next step. Two more until they’re off the train, and Jensen can’t believe they’re bickering like this on the ride home. Lately they’ve both been totally relaxed and happy to be ending the day and starting their time together. Not so much today. “And I’m telling you that I - don’t - care.”
“You gotta care a little,” Jared prods, with an elbow to Jensen’s side.
He flinches away and shoots Jared a terse look.
“Alright,” Jared says quietly, lifting his hands in defeat. “We don’t have to do anything. Sorry for pushing it.”
Jensen looks back out the window, finger tracing the seal of the glass in its frame. He takes about five calming breaths, all while trying to ignore how Jared goes stiff beside him, even shifting away. Jensen keeps running his finger along the glass when he finally opens his mouth. Quietly, he says, “We’ll do something. It’ll be fine.”
“Something, okay,” Jared parrots.
“I don’t care what we do,” he complains to Jared’s tone. “Because we’ll just be hanging out. I don’t care what we do together.”
Jared seems to finally get a clue, slowly turning back towards Jensen and giving him a steady look before saying another word. “So you don’t care because …”
“Because whatever,” Jensen sighs. He then begins to laugh at the whole situation, knowing how little he wants to really admit right here, and yet he finds it utterly ridiculous how upset Jared’s been for the last five minutes, and more so that it’s taken this long for Jared to catch on.
“So, you just don’t care,” Jared says with a leading tone.
“No, I don’t,” Jensen replies.
“Because we’ll just be together.”
Jensen tips his head in agreement and Jared’s eyes widen briefly. Then Jared slips his hand over Jensen’s knee, and Jensen nudges himself closer before he realizes he’s doing it. “Okay,” Jared nods.
“No, seriously,” Jared argues.

And here I thought Dean's the one who isn't the sharpest tool in the shed ... Anyway, I love how Jensen's an undercover sap here :)
