I know I said I wouldn't complain about show anymore but there's this
Calumet City is a suburb of Chicago. One can find that by googling "calumet city, il" and simply looking at the teaser text for the Wiki entry. There, it states that Calumet City is in Cook County, which encompasses all ~4 million Chicagoans and a fair portion of the other ~5 million people who live in the surrounding metropolitan area. (okay, I usually mock Wiki's validity, but it's an opening statement)
Being in the same county, all major media would include Chicago media, such as the Sun Times, the Tribune, WBBM, WLS, etc.
It WOULD NOT be covered by The Springfield Register, seeing as Springfield is the state capital and a good THREE HOURS AWAY.
Additionally, Calumet City is not a sleepy town nor does it contain mansions. There are not-so-great areas of the suburb, yes, but it's still highly populated in comparison to what Show presented tonight.
Two seconds to look at a map, a little internet research, an experienced location scout, a stinkin' phone call to your PA's second cousin's wife's BFF who maybe lives in the Chicagoland area could tell you that.
It's shit like this that tears me out of an episode and makes me start to question my sanity to keep watching.
Oh, except the lighting was amazing and Jensen was Fucking Gorgeous. Yeah, that's right. Random Capitalization, because baby deserves it.
And A+++ on the final scene, because it felt kinda good for Dean to man up and pound Sam's soulless face, because I've been wanting to so that since episode 6.01. :-P
