SO I tried to write a Sam-centric coda and it got weird. Then I was like 'oh, hey, let's write more of Dean with kids?' FML.

Something innocent! I'm so torn, b/c part of me is all, don't teach him hunting, Dean nooooooooooo, but Ben already knows the supernatural world exists, maybe it's already too late for him, and Dean having to perpetuate that cycle by necessity makes me sick with sorrow for him D:

No, I know. It's kind of why I tried to show how Dean was kind of freaked/weirded out by Ben asking to burn the doll. And that Dean is all 'you're safe, nothing's gonna happen,' even when they both know crazy shit can and has happened. Boys :(

Hahahaha, I'm such a doof that I read "Ben & Dean" and got all excited for a new Ben/Dean chapter! Then I realized what you meant and read this - it's lovely, the way Dean lingers in both past and present here.

OK seriously...you're the only person who's post-finale fics that have Dean, Ben & Lisa in them that I'm reading. I seriously love your version of Dean...Ben and Lisa are great too.

Do you think there will be more?

Hahaha, likely. I almost had a bit where Lisa found them in the backyard, but decided to keep the peace with Ben and Dean together. Maybe I'll put Lisa in later :-D
