2: Did I mention my joy on Season 6? There are random moments where I forget about it then suddenly go 'ooh! more boys!' In general, I'm happy for more show, but I do hope that Krip & Co. do it right so we're not left with an argument of quality vs. quantity.

Such Great Heights | __tiana__ | AU. Jared works at the state fair, running the Ferris Wheel, and Jensen can't keep his eyes off him. Unfortunately, Jensen has a small problem that's making him keep his distance. For now. | JUST finished this and am all grinny and warm and realized that I owed everyone a good rec post.
The Best Sometimes Forget | strangeallure | Super cliche J2: J2 are long term BFs or married. Jared's been working late and forgets his birthday is fast approaching. Jensen, being awesome, decides to plan a super secret, surprise party and is sneaky about it. Jared, in his overworked delirium, thinks Jensen is cheating on him and angsts about it. Cue Jared blow up/break down in front of everyone, followed by schmoopy make up kissing and cuddles and a kick ass party. | I love how established they are here. There are small moments where nothing is really happening but you can feel how comfortable they are together. Add on all the unnecessary, but fun, drama.
Neckties, Contracts, High Voltage |cormallen | If someone pays for you to have a face to face meeting with Jared Padalecki, chances are, you either did something really bad -- or something really good. Either way, you're in for a rough night. | So different and hot and then twisty and I grin.
Eat Drink Love | raina_at | Cynical waiter Jensen serves Serial Dater Jared's row of first dates. | You know I love me some cynical Jensen, and he's aces in this one.
Two Turtledoves (and a Partridge in a Pear Tree> | laulan | J2 kidfic and Christmas. Jared is surprised to figure out that Jensen is just as excited to prepare for Christmas (buying the tree, gift shopping, decorating the house, etc) as their kid is for Christmas morning. | So sweet and lovely to see Jensen getting into the Christmas spirit!
Insurmountable Odds | electricalgwen | Jared is a movie star. Jensen is a turtle wrangler. No, really. Each thinks the other isn't serious about this thing they have. | The best thing here is how easily it unravels in such short scenes. It's not long and drawn out to unnecessary lengths, and it ends before I even realized it would, but it's extremely satisfying.
This Method Acting (It's Alive With Such Possibilities) | wutendeskind | Before filming Wendigo, Jensen wants to go camping. Jared really should have known better. | So fun, and features great characterizations as they first start to bond. I especially love the tent scene.
Let Not the Knowledge of True Minds Admit Impediments | twelve_pastels | The long-promised Jensen/Danneel engagement story. I have found my true calling, and it is crackfic. If you like, plz to be with the pimping. | Ahaha, such crackiness, I couldn't stop giggling at Jensen being so tired of Jared and then panicking in the next breath for what he was doing.
Step Up | timehasa_way | Jensen can't stand seeing Jared's face any more than he has to, for reasons he can never say out loud. | There is porn. On stairs. Need I say more?
Eight-six the Others and Come Home With Me | kelleigh | From the AU prompt: "Dating!Jensen, Waiter!Jared" | I don't know why restaurant fics are always so good for me. I love them. On top of it, it's good fun.

Forever 'Neath These Streets | standing_fic | Dean's stuck in hell, and hell is PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Sam saves him from it by showing up in the Impala. Imagine Dean waiting endlessly for some bus or train that never arrives and when it finally does it's either so full that he can't get on it, or it's full of school kids that keeps fighting and screaming and throwing things at each other. | It's like ... kinda funny ... but then unsettling ... then funny again ... then strange and pestering to the brain. I love how this girl just goes for the jugular when she has an idea and really commits to it. I kept going back and forth on how I felt so disturbed with the circle of hell, but it's so worth the read.
Thursday Night | oselle | No summary, but there is this: "Wasn’t it a fuck-all funny world when someone’s playing you on television and using your name and you can’t do a goddamned thing about it?" | I LOVED THIS. You have no idea. I closed the tab then cursed myself out for not reccing it immediately. It's the real Sam and Dean, with Dean obsessed with watching the prettyboys Jared and Jensen play them on TV. It's so fucking ingenious and the execution is perfect. It's Sam and Dean as WE know them, but further, more realistic, gritty and rundown.
