Oh man, I am SO glad it's the weekend. I love my job, and I love the kids I nanny, but I need a break. Jameson can be so good when he wants to be, but for the most part, he whines about eeeeverything.
I picked up some shamrock cookies at a bakery that his parents ordered for him to bring to his school. I left the three of them in the car, and when I came out with the boxes, he was SOBBING. I thought maybe he slammed his finger in the door, Lexie smacked him, his seatbelt was squishing his uterus. But when I opened the door and asked him what was wrong, he started convulsing and yelled 'what if those aren't the cookies we ordered?!' Oh. My. Gosh. And that's how he normally acts. I've tried everything! Sending him to his room, a reward system, explaining why it's not okay, ignoring him until he settles down, whining/screaming/flailing back. It's so frustrating.
SALLY, on the other hand, is a nine month old ball of adorableness. It's sick. I mean, she has her moments. If I put her down for too long without paying attention to her, she freaks out and follows me around screaming. She pulls chunks of hair out of my head, she licks my eyeballs...that was only once, but I thought it was worth noting because seriously, who DOES that? Matt's so in love with her. He comes with me on Thursdays and he'll lie on the floor with her for hours. He never takes pictures of me, but he was all 'I HAVE to bring my camera next week' yesterday. Whatever. She's not THAT cute. Okayyeahsheis.
Deal or No Deal is my new favorite lame guilty pleasure. It was awesome when one guy was offered almost $200,000 and he turned it down and ended up with $12,000. He probably had one of those super sad sob stories...his wife needs a heart transplant and insurance won't cover it, and as she's lying on her death bed, he has to support their seven children with his part-time job as a singing telegram and this money could save his wife and keep his children from starving, but the money that he ended up with won't cover the medical bills, so he has to let her die. And you start to feel bad for him, but then you end up laughin because it was his own fault for being greedy and not taking what was offered. You made your bed, now let your wife die in it.
It's really frustrating to be working full-time and not be saving any money because of all the bills and loans you have to pay off. It's even more frustrating to know that when you move out of your boyfriend's parents' house and into an apartment, you're going to be spending much more than you're earning. Mr and Mrs Carter...I'm living here forever. It's a good thing you love me.
