My brush with mortality

Jul 24, 2018 00:29

So an interesting thing happened on July 9th. Was short of breath, thought it was all the humidity we had been having because of some chronic bronchitis, and the next thing I knew the EMT's were loading me onto a stretcher after I did a full face plant outside of the grocery store.

Turns out not the bronchitis but full on pulmonary emboli. That's plural, in both lungs. My oxygen levels in my blood were at 75. Who the hell knows how low it got when I passed out.

So 5 days in the hospital hooked up to blood thinners, and now I'm at my mother's on oxygen. I have gotten better, and I do feel better. I just need to get back to work, dammit!! I hate sitting around all day. Yes, I do exercise, but it's boring as hell.

Now they are trying to figure out where the clots came from. I have gone through menopause but they found my endometrium has started to thicken again. They are checking for cancer. Hope to know something on Wednesday. I say take it out. I don't have a need for it anymore.
😉

I'm in good spirits, so please no woes are me type of stuff. I'm just worried about the damn money I'm losing not working!!

I'll keep y'all updated!

Peace,
Daphne
