September is one of my favorite months now that I'm no longer chained to the tenant turnover routine. The days are still long and there's a balance between everything being too hot to wear and needing multiple layers to stay warm.
The first few days of overcast haven't become an oppressive umbrella driving us into the stores for vitamin D supplements. They are a welcome change from the stark sunlight bouncing off the pavement.
I am enjoying my mocha this morning (Thanks Cate!) and surfing the web, looking for something to entertain me in my pre-employment stage. I put up a link on Facebook about a new roaster in L.A. and chatted with former regulars. I ran into three of them here in this different shop.
I have to admit writing longer posts is harder than I remember. The soundbite nature of Fb and twitter seem to have atrophied my writing muscle. I guess Lj is my rehab. Four paragraphs is progress and any progress is good. But it is hard to draw the ideas out and harder to wrestle those ideas into words. And it takes a long time too. The greyness of the morning has burned away into the bright midday.
