I'm still waiting on most of my grad school admissions/funding decisions, but I've at least been awarded a fellowship/TAship at Minnesota. So, no Foreign Legion for me. In the acceptance letter, a full tuition waiver was referred to as a "fringe benefit," which I found a bit odd. In any case, it seems to bode well.
I've also secured employment at a fuel pump manufacturing company, so monies will not be nearly as stressful to deal with... also, I will now be able to avoid getting evicted.
It has been very nice to see my friends again. The housewarming party was a big dose of Yuai, but it was a welcome one after six months of relative isolation in Minnesota.
