The ground beneath his paws had shifted and before he could blink, the clicking of Diefenbaker's nails against asphalt had been replaced with the soft crunch of snow beneath him.

His surroundings may have changed, and drastically at that, but the wolf kept his nose to the ground, still picking up the scent. Maybe better now than he had before, what with the noticeable lack of position in the air.

He was close, and once he had his bearings and new just wear his nose was leading him, he bounded off, sprinting through the snow in a blur.
