Supercon 2012: Part One - My costumes and construction notes
I LIVE. Just for today though. I've pretty much lost interest in LJ. :< All of my friends are hanging out on new websites now, plus this site...well, it's left a lot to be desired in the past year.

I'm really glad I went with the ears/horn/tail too. =3 The tail was so much fun to wear and swish around~ When we're ponies together I think we should have tails too. u_u

I was happy to have finished the duel disk at all, but unfortunately after a day of it getting banged around at the con and smashed into walls and stuff, it started to snap a little on that tiny piece connecting the big part on my arm and the card platform thing. It held together, but I'm not sure it could take being worn all day again. So if I do this cosplay again with the duel disk, I might have to re-make it just because this first one is pretty fragile now. Luckily, if I do decide to make a new one, now I know a lot of things NOT to do. xD
I might try making another one sometime! This was probably like the best plushie for a beginner to try to make because there wasn't a ton of sewing and most mistakes were easily covered up. I'm afraid to try something with more details because I don't know how well I could do them. >.> But I guess giving it a try and practicing is the only way to know. =3
