big hearts to the smith college english department
i emailed my english class to see if anyone had the half-dozen books and periodicals that i need for my paper in the middle of the night, and got this response back from my professor:
Hi Meg--
A familiar problem. How about we ask the question of the class as a whole on Friday? If I forget, be sure to remind me. Meanwhile, will you need some more time on the paper? Say til Monday?

on a sadder note, pat skarda's brother passed away, which i found out later then the rest of campus, apparently. i emailed the english department secretary asking if she had information on funeral arrangements for donations & flowers, so comment if you're one of the people interested in contributing to that and showing that we're thinking about pat and her family now.
