Why are we doing this?
This is about producing creative work rather than excuses. This is about deadlines, because sometimes we need deadlines. This is about showing your work, getting feedback, and refining. This is about having more to show for summer than pocket cash and drunken memories.
Tom and I have been talking, and came up with some basic guidelines for the group:
Basic ground rules
1) Content posts are on Sundays, between 12:00AM and 11:59PM. If you finish before Sunday, wait to post. Obvious exception if you won't have internet access for all of Sunday - post when you can.
2) Use the week in between to refine your previous work as you desire according to feedback. Editing the post is perfectly okay, but make edit notes as appropriate for significant changes to the work.
2) If you miss a post, the group will bother you about it. That's part of why we're a group.
3) Leave feedback on other people's posts. That's the other part of why we're a group.
3a) In leaving feedback, be constructive. You don't have to candy coat it, but be somewhat tactful. "This needs to be developed a lot more" versus "This looks like it was a hack job."
4) LJ-Cut if your entry is huge. A teaser is okay. Also, as per request, use a subject :)
Posts for the first day of Due on Sundays are due tonight by 11:59AM.
So for those of you in Eastern Time Zone, that leaves roughly 13 hours to submit.
