Look, you guys, I could say a billion words about Go On, BUT I HAVE BEEN SAYING LOTS OF WORDS ABOUT GO ON, AND I WILL PROBABLY SAY MORE AFTER TONIGHT'S EPISODE, so you can basically read what I have to say about Go On WHENEVER. So here, again, are the gifs of John Cho trying on clothes while high:

YESSSSSSS, YOU DID IT!!!

TONIGHT'S EPISODE WAS SO GOOD TOO, I am so glad they had Ryan feeling guilty over the thing with Piper Perabo! Who is still weirdly delightful! AND OWEN AS LAUREN'S BODY DOUBLE HAHAHAHA AND THE GALENTINE'S DAY OF THAT GODDESS PARTY. AND EVERYTHING.

Also that time Ryan made a pass at Lauren and Wyatt wasn't threatened at all is still my favorite, REMEMBER HOW ANNE GAVE LAUREN A BOOBIE VASE AND FAUSTA MADE HER A SWEATER WITH BIG ARMHOLES.

LAUREN'S WEIGHT LOSS GROUP! "Yeah, we've got four Yolandas in here. Good day." BEST THING! And Owen and Lauren as doubles was AMAZING, OH MY GOD, WYATT AT THE END! OWEN, DON'T CROSS YOUR LEGS LIKE ME, IT'S ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT. I love that they gradually introduce weird stuff like that and just keep running with it, like Lauren's nemesis and people thinking Ryan's Rachel Maddow. SO GREAT! [YIKES THOUGH because I didn't miss Steven and Carrie in this episode at all, and I love them both but episodes that focus on KBAL stuff at the expense of the group never do as much for me as ones like this do. SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE, SHOW! FIRE STEVEN SO HE CAN JOIN THE GROUP? CARRIE CAN COME JUST BECAUSE?]

HAHAHA THE WAY LAUREN SAID "Good day" made me laugh foreverrrrrrrrrrrr.

AND AUGH I totally did not even realize Steven and Carrie weren't in the episode, AND I LOVE THEM BOTH. But seriously, I am so much happier when it focuses on the group, I CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THEY WERE GONE, that is not a good sign for them. SERIOUSLY, THEY SHOULD CONSOLIDATE THIS SHIT, GET JOHN CHO HANGING OUT WITH SONIA ALL THE TIME, IT'LL BE AMAZING.

I guess they've got time, it took Parks YEARS to come up with a reason for Anne to be hanging around City Hall all the time and in the interim they made it work, but they ALSO weren't setting an entire B-story at the hospital every other week, soooooooo.

[ALSO apparently I suddenly need to care about this show's ratings? It's been tanking without The Voice as a lead-in (not that Betty White's Off Their Rockers is doing it any favors.) It'll probably be fine because NBC is basically the corporate embodiment of disaster, and The Office and 30 Rock are ending, so it's not like NBC has OPTIONS, but yikes. YIKES!!!!!!]

OH GOD, I just flashed to what it would've been like if Parks set a B-story at the hospital every week. MISERY! It is a terrible idea for shows to split focus like this, I don't know why they keep trying to. Either be a work show or an away-from-work show, guys, you can't have both! COMMUNITY IS ABOUT THE STUDY GROUP, NOT THE STUDY GROUP AND ALSO JEFF'S MISERABLE SOCIAL LIFE OUTSIDE OF IT.

(OH NO, is it tanking?!?! I thought we were safe because with the Voice it was doing so well! I hope The Voice still leads into it when it comes back. Also lol true re: NBC, sometimes I see people complaining about NBC not supporting its shows enough or canceling things, and I just boggle. PEOPLE. DO YOU KNOW HOW LOW 30 ROCK'S RATINGS ARE? FOX WOULD'VE CANCELLED THAT SHIT AFTER LIKE TWO EPISODES, DON'T EVEN TALK TO ME ABOUT THIS, YOU KNOW NOTHING.)

Last week was their worst-rated episode until last night was even worse, so, NOT GREAT.

It's tanking, but no more so than NBC in general is always tanking, I guess? Whitney's January episodes have been higher rated, but that's aired mostly against repeats so far this month and tonight it goes up against American Idol, so assuming that tanks Whitney, Go On actually ends up being NBC's second-best comedy behind Parks and Rec. [Well, third-best if you include The Office, but that's ending so who cares.] NBC's probably going to have to cut back on comedy next fall because it's going to be stretched really thin otherwise, but they have enough disasters to cancel before Go On. FINGERS CROSSED!

FOX WOULD'VE CANCELLED THAT SHIT AFTER LIKE TWO EPISODES, DON'T EVEN TALK TO ME ABOUT THIS, YOU KNOW NOTHING.

THERE'S NOTHING I HATE MORE THAN CANCELLATION WHINING. NOTHING. Am I sad about Ben and Kate? YES. Is it kind of surprising that Ben and Kate got to air a full thirteen episodes, let alone have a few more ordered? NO. IT'S NOT "KIND OF ( ... )

AUGH WELL NOW I AM GOING TO BE STRESSED OUT, if they get cancelled I will cry forever!!!!! THEY BETTER CANCEL THEIR OTHER DISASTERS FIRST, it can't be a super expensive show, r-right? Ugh there are a lot of actors though.

SERIOUSLY, obviously cancellations hurt all our souls, BUT BE INFORMED, PEOPLE. Am I still bitter about Arrested Development getting canceled? SURE, BUT ON FOX GETTING THREE SEASONS WAS MIRACULOUS. Know your fandom history, people!

IT'S BEEN TEN YEARS, EVERYONE, STOP BITCHING ABOUT FIREFLY. The thing about Arrested Development in particular is that YES, ABSOLUTELY, it sucks that it got cancelled, but also, a) like you said, three seasons on Fox, the way Fox was back then? MIRACULOUS, and b) everyone could have turned on it in the fourth or fifth season! We have no way of knowing! At least they knew they were ending and got to go out their own way. AND IT'S COMING BACK! EVERYONE SHUT UP!

The other thing that always gets me is people equating 2003 Fox with 2013 Fox - like, we all know Kevin Reilly is the Fox dude now, right? Kevin Reilly? Fandom's boyfriend? The guy who championed FNL and The Office and 30 Rock and Chuck? The whole reason anyone even still associates NBC with quality TV even a little bit?

When something I like gets canned all I can think is "at least it ended while I still liked it", I mean, it's hard to be glad that Fox stood by Fringe and it miraculously got not only 4 and a half seasons but a "proper" ending when I think IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED BEFORE I HATED IT!

Some guy who I THINK is from GL:TAS tweeted to get fans to bother Cartoon about the cancellations and said "Roswell fans sent bottles and got their show renewed!!!!", and someone on Tumblr reblogged a post with links to "Save DC Nation" and I'm just like... guys... be cool.

"Roswell fans sent bottles and got their show renewed!!!!"

LOOK, DUDE, WE'VE ALL DONE THINGS, OKAY? MAYBE SOME OF US SENT EMPTY TABASCO BOTTLES TO THE WB AND UPN, MAYBE WE DIDN'T. IF WE'D KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO BE A WHOLE THING LIKE THIS, WE DEFINITELY WOULDN'T HAVE.

To clarify: I did not send any Tabasco bottles to TV networks, but that was mainly because my mom wasn't wild about the whole "hey, can I have some money so I can go buy Tabasco and pour it down the drain and then mail the bottles somewhere?" plan. And knowing that ten years later they'd be held up as champions of desperate whiners everywhere probably would have just spurred Roswell fandom on. But there's something crucial everyone seems to forget, and that's that NOBODY LIKES SEASON THREE OF ROSWELL ( ... )
