I LOVE THIS COMMENT BECAUSE DUH BUT I ALSO HATE THIS COMMENT BECAUSE IT MAKES ME WANT TO STAY UP ALL NIGHT REREADING THE ENTIRE COMIC? MAYBE TWICE? Fuck, though, "don't you ever stop making a noise" was DEVASTATING and REALITY-SHIFTING, I think I was at work when I read it and I was just like OH DEAD LORD DON'T MAKE A NOISE DON'T LET ANYONE KNOW YOU'RE FALLING APART OVER A FICTIONAL CHILD'S FICTIONAL GRIEF AND TRAUMA.

I lovelovelove Shauna's stepdad and how easy their relationship is, especially now compared to Charlotte trying to come to term with her mom's SPECIAL COMPANION. I'M GLAD SHAUNA HAS A LOVELY WARM FAMILY AND THAT EVERYTHING IS BETTER FOR HER THAN WHATEVER WAS GOING ON BEFORE.

And MILDRED, god, I went back and looked over the early comics for this and I HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN THAT MILDRED WASN'T THEIR FRIEND IN THE BEGINNING? LIke they clearly knew her and hung out with her a bit but what did Mildred do before they fully took her in? DO I NEED TO REREAD THE WHOLE SERIES AND DEVELOP SOME EXTENSIVE HEADCANON ABOUT ALL THESE THINGS? PROBABLY!!!!!!!!!

While we're listing things: I was looking back over Sonny's pool party and FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF when his dad gives him the money to get them all in and Charlotte says his dad is cool bc her mum never even gives her milk money AND SONNY IS JUST THINKING HE DOESN'T WANT HIS DAD TO BE COOL, BECAUSE HE STILL WANTS HIS PARENTS TO TAKE CHARGE AND ORGANIZE EVERYTHING, SONNY, LET ME HUG YOU, LET ME HUG ALL OF YOU. And Linton and his DAD in the current story are KILLING ME because it's such a terrible thing being just old enough to start understanding enough about the world to worry about your parents' jobs, and Jack being Jack basically always, and WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME? HOW IS JOHN ALLISON DOING ALL THIS?
