Lindsey and I went to "The District" (that is what they call it here) to see Rosa Parks laying in State last night. It was a very interesting experience. First, we were the only ones about our age there. But what can I say she was an important women to everyone. Think about where the country would be if not for her. We were standing in line for about 2 hours and then decided we were never going to get to see her, so we went out of line to go get some food. Well the street that we were supposed to cross the officer would not let us, we were told we had to wait for the motorcade to come by. So we are standing on the curb and all the sudden not 100 feet from us, the hearse with the body, the orginal bus and the Presidents Suburban come down the street. I was so close I could have touched it, it was AMAZING!!! After that Lindsey and I decided that we no longer felt bad about leaving becuase we had a much better view of the happenins. It was great!!! I LOVE THIS CITY!!
On Sunday was local mission Sunday at church. Which I thought was really appropiate because I am starting to look for things that I can do around here while the girls are in school. There were so many things. That I will see which one I really like. Plus, I am helping Kayla do some things with her job and am still doing child care for the church, so things are working out.
Put on Ashley's Halloween party at school on Friday, all went well and the teacher actually asked if I would come back and help in the classroom once a week. So I think I am going to go on Wednesday afternoons. Plus, I still have to get in touch with the lady at the library about volunteering there one afternoon or something.
Things are continuing to go well here, you know just doing my own thing and stuff. Getting more used to be alone a lot of the time, but I am filling my time. I am reading and still doing crafts so that is good.
I do miss my parents and family a lot though, but that is kind of expected.

The girls are doing wonderful. The two oldest will be in the Nutcracker in December and Ashley is going to do that Baby Nutcracker in November so we are all getting excited for that. It will be fun to go and watch. They are all doing well and we are adjust well to each other. It is hard some days and then others I have so much fun. So we will just keep working at it. Ashley today gave me a kiss before she got out of the car for school and the first thing she told me when she got in after was how much she had missed me all day. It made me feel good. The days like that are the ones that make the stress of being here alone okay!
