I love this fic. Daphne is such an unusual - but very fitting - character to choose to pair with Dudley. His reaction to her in the pub is really touching. I love how their relationship develops, and then how that relationship mends his relationship with Harry. Colin and Dora are great characters in their own rights, but also lovely memorials to under-mourned characters.

And I think I've already said this, but Piers is gorgeousas well as hilarious here. I can certainly satisfy his taste for cougars. Send him to Mama!!! LOL

Haha, he's already packaged and on his way! :D

Colin and Dora were easy names to pick. Despite the fact that I don't have any love for Tonks, I don't see her (or Colin) in any memorials people tend to do (or I'm just not looking in the right spot, oops?). I had the personalities of the children and then came the names. They fit perfectly and I was glad to give them both a memorial.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

What a lovely story of redemption for both Dudley and Daphne. :)
LOVED Dudley's profession, although him making Harry autistic in his talks made me chuckle.
And Dora and Colin are so cute! *hugs them* Harry being an ass actually made sense given the circumstances, although I do like that he made amends in the end. That vision of them sitting in silence and watching the telly together is perfect. *smiles*
Well done!

I do always like Harry being an ass, but only because it makes things better when he stops being one. :) Thank you -- I'm glad you liked it!

Oh! Such bittersweetness. And I love how mature Dudley is throughout the story. It's wonderful to see him transform his childhood of bullying into something meaningful and useful to others.

The bit where Dudley explains to little Colin that Piers likes cats is just precious, too. :-D

Thanks for a great story!

I so imagine an older Colin going up to Dudley and saying, "Um, dad? Piers hates cats. He said he likes women. You liar." And, of course, Dudley's reaction would be wide-eyes and unable to think of something before meeting Piers and whacking him over the head. Ah, family love. :)

I'm glad you liked it~

Nice! I like the story Dudley ended up telling to the other students, that was a great way to work in the redemption. And the story of the Greengrass family was pitch perfect, great explanation for what some families would certainly have done. I'm curious how Astoria would fit into the story; Dudley and Draco as in-laws is something I'd like to see. Great fic!

Oh, Dudley and Draco as in-laws gave me so many other ideas. :) However, those shall just have to wait until I catch up with my reading.

I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you for prompting it! I had a hard time picking the exact Hogwarts' graduate to be with Dudley, so I'm super happy you enjoyed it!
